📜 Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Yoran Bot ("the Bot", "we", "us", "our") within any Discord server, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Bot.

By using the Bot, you also agree to comply with Discord's Terms of Service, Discord's Community Guidelines, and all applicable laws and regulations.

2. Description of Service

Yoran Bot is a Discord bot that provides moderation tools, a support ticket system, announcement utilities, giveaway management, community features (polls, suggestions, reports), and YouTube subscription verification for the purpose of granting Discord roles within specific servers.

The Bot is operated by Yoran Studio and is intended exclusively for use within authorized Discord servers. It is not a public application available for general distribution.

3. Permitted Use

You agree to use the Bot only for its intended purposes. Permitted uses include:

• Using moderation commands if you hold the appropriate staff role
• Opening support tickets to receive assistance from server staff
• Running /verifyyoutube to verify your YouTube subscription
• Using community features such as /suggest, /report, and /poll

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Abuse, exploit, spam, or attempt to crash the Bot
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the Bot's source code without permission
• Use the Bot to harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Use the Bot to violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
• Attempt to bypass permission checks or access commands you are not authorized to use
• Use automated tools or scripts to interact with the Bot in an unintended manner

Violation of these rules may result in being permanently blocked from using the Bot and/or removed from the Discord server at the discretion of server staff.

5. YouTube Verification

By initiating the YouTube verification process with /verifyyoutube, you voluntarily authorize Yoran Bot to access your YouTube subscription data via Google OAuth 2.0 for the sole purpose of verifying your subscription to a designated channel.

You acknowledge that:

• The authorization is voluntary and you may decline at any time
• We only request read-only access (youtube.readonly scope)
• Your access token is used once and immediately discarded — we do not store it
• You may revoke this authorization at any time via myaccount.google.com/permissions
• Obtaining a Discord role through fraudulent means (e.g. borrowing someone else's account) may result in role removal and server ban

6. Intellectual Property

All code, design, branding, and content related to Yoran Bot are the intellectual property of Yoran Studio and their respective owners. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, or create derivative works from the Bot or its components without explicit written permission from Yoran Studio.

7. Availability and Modifications

We do not guarantee that the Bot will be available at all times. Yoran Bot may experience downtime due to maintenance, hosting issues, or other factors beyond our control.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Bot or any of its features at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for any inconvenience caused by such changes.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Yoran Bot is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Bot will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Yoran Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Your use of or inability to use the Bot
• Loss of data or Discord roles
• Unauthorized access to your account
• Any errors or omissions in the Bot's functionality

10. Third-Party Services

Yoran Bot integrates with the following third-party services:

• Discord — subject to Discord's Terms of Service
• Google / YouTube Data API v3 — subject to Google's Terms of Service
• Railway — our hosting provider, subject to Railway's Terms

We are not responsible for the practices or content of these third-party services.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Bot after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
